Bivio, Swizerland

Bivio is one of my favourite Snowboarding spots in Switzerland. Bivio is a village on the road to St. Moritz, it is situated at a height of 1800m at the foot of the Julier pass. They only have 3 lifts going up to a height of 2984m. The pists are mostly quite easy, but it is one of the best freeriding places outside of Alaska. There are 3 hotels in the village, Hotel Post; Hotel Solaria and Hotel Grischuna, Grischuna is not really recommendable and the other two are quite expensive. The best place for staying is in one of the private rooms or holiday flats you can find on the link at the bottom of this article.
There is not much night life on offer, well there are a few alternatives, there is the Septimer, a pub for the ones under us over 60 and still happy getting drunk. Then there is the Lanzio bar, they call it Disco Dancing Grill, well I would call it retroshockingvilage bar with a billiard table and quite expensive drinks, and last but not least The La Traplla a seedy little Pub with a few amusement games (Darts etc.).
Half the way up the maintain there is the Restaurant Couluars, here you must eat the Spaetzle ala Carmon, one of the few musthaves in the universe!
