Congleton

Congleton is a small market town in the North West of England. Most famous for the classic bear story, from back when bear-baiting was popular. What reportedly happened was that the Congleton Bear passed away shortly before a major fight, and so the town used money which had been saved up to buy a new bible to buy a new bear. What happened next is anyones guess: some say that the town bought a female bear which, upon being seen by the old male bear (natch), brought it back from the dead. Others, however, don't.
One thing is for clear, however, ever since then Congleton has gone seriously downhill with drugs and crime spreading rapidly. Also, there is so little to do in the town now that the youngsters have to enjoy themselves writting stupid articles for H2G2.
