A Conversation for Talking Point: Ideas for Halloween

Scary party food game

Peta

This is a game my family used to play when we were kids. I tried it on my son and his friends when they were about 8 years old, and his friends *loved* it (and his mates all thought I was a witch.)

The game is played in the dark. Everyone sits in a circle holding hands. Objects are introduced to the group and passed around, and everyone has to guess what they are:

Prepare the objects beforehand - they're all food, made up to feel like body parts. Here are some examples, but you can invent your own. They're all really scary when poked around and felt in the dark..

Peel a lychee and empty the shell of a kiwi fruit of a similar size - it's a dried up eyeball, with a nice juicy inside...

Take out the inside of a loaf of bread and shape it - it's lungs

Cook spagetti till slimy - veins

Get a frankfurter sausage and stick a whole almond in the end - a disconnected finger

Whole almonds shaped and put in a bag - the victim's teeth

A cooked bit of shaped pasta the one that looks a bit like an ear anyway? What's it called - that one obviously makes an ear.

You get the idea. You can shape all sorts of body parts from things you find in sweet shops, noses, tongues, etc.

Just use your imagination. It's really scary. Just hand them round in the dark and listen to the squeals of delight and horror. smiley - biggrin

smiley - monster
