This is an interesting subject which involves a lot of people sitting in an office somewhere thinking to themselves 'How can I make money for this company?' Having though about this for a while, they make and send out a letter entitled 'You have already won £X/$X'. According to the enclosed instructions, all you have to do is to send off this form to collect your winnings. Even better though, is the fact that if you return it within 14 days, you get a free pen/alarm clock/supercomputer. There is, however, a problem. If you carefully examine the microprint (like small print only harder to read)you will discover that in actual fact, by sending off the form you have only 'entered a prize draw to win £X/$X' and the free gift is only available if you win. Even worse is that some companies insist that you have to buy £200,000/$320,000 worth of their products before you become eligable to enter the prize draw. As unbelieveable as it may sound, many thousands of Earth inhabitants frequently enter these competitions in the hope of winning and, according to the companies, some of them win. Strangely though, it always seems to be Mrs S from Woking and Mr F from Lincon who win every single draw.
