texas hold'em -everything you ever wanted to know

So here it is...known as the caddilac of poker, texas hold'em is THE game to play if you want to be a pro player, or even (if you have a spare $10,000) have a go in the world series.
Various people have said that it takes a minute to learn but a life-time to master, so set your watch....
firstly important terminology to learn:
* hole cards - the two cards first dealt to every player -no-one can see them but you. AKA pocket cards. for example silvaa is holding a pocket pair.
* the flop - the first three cards which are dealt face up onto the table. These are community cards - anyone at the table can use them to make a hand
* the turn - the fourth community card
* the river - the fifth and final community card
* trips- three of a kind
* connectors - relates to hole cards which are adjacent eg 7,8 or J,Q
