Project Description
An examination of dialectic differences in the English languages spread throughout the United States.

- Introduction - The project begins with general information on how and why American accents are different, as well as a section on America's great debate over the name of carbonated beverages.
- Southern Drawl - Information on the pronunciation and vocabulary of the people in the American south.
- Tawking the Tawk in Noo Yawk - Information about the dialect in New York City, North Jersey and Long Island - considered to be America's least attractive accent.
- New England's Wicked Good Accent - An entry about the Boston, or New England, accent which is prevalent east of New York state.
- Philly Talk and Pittsburghese - An entry about the two distinct dialects in Pennsylvania.
- The Midwestern 'Non-Accent' - An entry about the most boring of all American accents, which this researcher happens to speak in.
- Da Chicago Dialect and the Northern Cities Vowel - An entry about the phenomenon of the NCVS and shifting language patterns around the Great Lakes, which most people are not aware of.
