Bucket
Created | Updated Jan 28, 2002
A bucket is a semi-conical metal or plastic container, mostly used for storing random fluids of all kinds, particularly milk from cows. Or, as used to be evidenced above, shiny rocks.
Other kinds of buckets are used at the beach to carry sand from one location to another. This would seem to be a futile pursuit, as beaches are notorious for being covered in sand, and lots of it. One could speculate that spending too much time in the sun confuses the brain (or enlightens it to an extent) into thinking that one particular pile of sand is different from another.
Buckets are also quite handy for covering one's head after embarrassing oneself, although all are advised to make certain that the bucket is empty before trying this.
Bucket Date of Note: 2nd May is International Bucket Day. Make sure to celebrate by making bewildering comments about buckets to friends and family, or even to perfect strangers. Wearing a bucket on your head for a short time is also strongly recommended.
