Classic Rock

Classic Rock is a form of Rock and Roll. In order for a song to be deemed "Classic Rock" it needs to be a classic. This normally means that it is old. Very few newer song can be listed as classic rock. The only exceptions are cover songs, or new songs by classic rock artists like The Stones. Note that a song doesn't have to be viewed as a classic by everyone, just a majority of the general public. Many great places can be found online with classic rock tablature, or MP3's, So this is a type of music that is easily found. Most cities have a classic rock station, which adds to the fun.
Please do not confuse classic rock with metal, hard rock, or punk. It is a specific kind of music. Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, and Kiss for example, are Hard rock. Metallica is Metal, and the Ramones are punk. Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, The Allman Brothers, and Lynard Skynard are Classic Rock. The Band, The Stones and the Later Beatles tunes (While they were a studio band) are all Classic Rock.
Now go and make educated choices on the songs that you buy.
