Exeter is a smallish city in the county of Devon. It is a cool place to live (I go to Uni there) as there are many good things to do around the city. Now, I'm not going to beat about the bush here, I'm a student, students like drinking, and Exeter is a good place to drink, with many obliging bars who will serve you cocktails etcetera at not too extortionate prices. There are one or two fairly decent clubs, but this is something which could be improved upon. One of the nicest things about the city (well, from my point of view, anyway) is that it's absolutely chock full of students and young people. There are two Universities; the University of Exeter, and the University of Plymouth, plus the absolutely huge Exeter College where I think you can learn anything in the world, even such odd things as 'How to dance like a goat'. I digress....it's a good place to be. My absolute favourite thing though is how close the beaches are, and there are so many to choose from. Within a half hour drive from Exeter there are at least four beaches to choose from, all of which are lovely. Go a little further and you enter beach world. There are so many beaches it's absurd, and they're almost all really nice! My advice is to choose a beach, go and sit on it, and then get some kind soul to go and buy you an ice-cream with a big dollop of clotted cream on top! ;-)
