Well yeah but I don't see that it's all that relevant. I linked to Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture in the second half and this has more to do with the revolution that to Napoleon and far more to do with later French Regimes.

smiley - biggrin You thought right Spiff - I'm just helping in my own small way to keep this entry floating at the top of PR until its picked.

The lyrics to the Marsaillaise are something else though! Sort of a historical equivalent of gangster rap lyrics, n'est ce pas?

I specially like the last line - 'Marchons, marchons, qu'un sang impur, abreuve nos sillons'

roughly: Let us march, that impure blood may water our fields!

Well the full lyrics to the UK's national anthem aren't much better and Germany's has had some interesting lines in its day.
I guess noone's clean in that regard.

Did you know, that the second half of this article is now Pending? smiley - bigeyes
I've never known subediting to happen so fast. Especially when the other half of the article is still in Peer Review. smiley - bigeyes

Mol - on the new tablet

This is good, and that's a cracking quote from William Pitt to end up with.

There are a few sentences which could be made clearer with a bit of punctuation, but I only have time to hint darkly at the moment smiley - sorry - I'll try to come back tomorrow to go through it - but we're just talking minor weeny things here, certainly nothing that should be holding this up from being picked!

Keep bouncing ...

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
