Devil of Love - Reviewing Technology

1 Conversation

Looking through past gaming consoles created by companies like Atari and Nintendo, it's amazing that they were once considered to have out-of-this-world graphics, incredible music etc. But, now consoles such as the Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii have been created, you start to think: "Wow. I really used to play Nintendo 64??" or "Oh my gosh, a Gameboy still exists????" An example of a game that has been upgraded a lot since its first release is Spyro (still a favourite of mine). If you look at how the graphics used to be when you could play it on Playstation 1, the versions you can play on Playstation 2 etc. make it look like rubbish! And, while we're on the subject of Spyro, don't you think that the game designers have got a bit over the top with the new games?? I mean, Spyro just doesn't look the same as he used to, and it's kind of sad. I really think it's a shame that new technology is overpowering the old games and causing them to be forgotten about, but at the same time, you can't stop technology upgrading. What I'm trying to say is, every now and then, dig out and old game from your loft/under your bed/whatever and just play it, for old time's sakes.
