So We Lost
1(The Footie Managers Monologue)
For all intents and purposes
The buck must stop with me
But you know what they say
At the end of the day
There's plenty more fish in the sea
It happens to the best of us
We must take the bull by the horns
But that's as maybe
As they say, c est la vie
It never rains but it pours
We have to get right back to basics
you just hit the nail on the head
'cos when all's said and done
You know life must go on
And we need this like holes in the head
We need more long balls from the middle
We must close them down at the back
We have to make spaces
And tie our bootlaces
We need more defence and attack
There's a light at the end of the tunnel
You can't have it all as they say
We can take it or leave it
But must grin and bear it
And Rome wasn't built in a day
So putting it all in a nutshell
As they say, every dog has its day
An apple a day keeps the doctor away
time will tell, I have no more to say
