It looks to me, Matt is the guy who knows about this new system, so I can't help. I've also had an update in PR for over a week, with only one reviewer/comment, so I haven't a clue on whether it's ready!

According to this page: A26108886 we do what we did from the Update forum and post to EF saying it's ready. A Curator or the Eds copy the text over to the original entry (hopefully giving it a quick check over) and then publish it on the Front Page as recently updated.

So if there's a general feeling this is ok I'll do that tomorrow. Just hope it doesn't take as long as Rhubarb...

I didn't realise a Curator could do that. Do you also need to alert the Eds for a turn on the FP "recently updated" or as a new Entry in the three?

I'll just post on EF and see what happens. Last time Skanky did it for me, but I'll do it this time if no-one posts before tomorrow saying there is something badly wrong with the entry.

I did recommend an Update - realised I'd done the wrong thing and apologised, only for Nats to say it was OK it reminded them that the Update was in PR, but she did ask me to choose another pick.

Front Page promotion today and I see the updated Entry has been assigned a lovely pic! Did you provide that, Eco, or is a BBC library jobbie? Only it's not credited.

They emailed me today (and said sorry for forgetting with the other one), so I've seen it. Looks great!

I read it this morning, wanted to post something then thought I'd leave it a while.

I've just sent off some photos to be applied to old entries and I've asked the Eds whose picture is on the allotments updated entry.

I know there's a mistake in there, I did email Skankyrich but he'd already sent it in and he was on his way out the door on one of his forest trips. I don't know how to get it fixed.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I followed links from the front page and ended up here. I'm confused as to whether the entry linked to on the front page is the updated or the old version - it has some repeated text. The last two paragraphs of Where to Get Your Allotment are the same as the Last Words.

Was interested as I've just taken over an allotment. Have been impressed by how helpful and friendly the other allotment holders are and what a source of knowledge they are.

Maybe I wasn't looking at the right version (I *thought* I was but maybe not), there wasn't a lot of information in it - like the fact that they are measured in 'poles'. I was asked if I wanted a five or ten pole plot and had no idea what that meant, so asked for ten. Turns out I have a plot which is about 9m by 30m. Was pleased to find out that for my ten pounds a year there is water supplied to standpipes at the allotments - didn't know that!

There was some repeated text - I must have copied, instead of cut when I moved them. I've fixed that now, thank you.

I wasn't aware of your last comments, but the entry was in PR and I hoped people who knew these things would comment (that's not a barbed comment at you for not commenting). Perhaps I wasn't the best person to update it, but it needed updating, and I did the best I could.
