Nerds

This unusual race of beings remains a mystery to science, because no one can figure out how they reproduce. Their life usually consists of sitting in front of a computer and swearing at it periodically. They used to be predominantly male, but recently there have begun to be more female nerds. Scientists have hypothesized that perhaps nerds are really an asexual life form, and the 'gender' differences are really just minor mutations. A search has begun to find the 'original nerd'. If it is found, then this hypothesis will become the generally accepted explanation of nerds.
