'Flesh out' maybe overstating it. The following is sort of what I meant.
Current Text:
The Glasgow Old Firm Football Clubs, Celtic and Rangers, have a long, bitter, often vicious rivalry, formed along sectarian religious grounds.
'Fleshed out' Text:
The Glasgow football clubs, Celtic and Rangers, have a long, bitter, often vicious rivalry, formed along sectarian religious grounds. [One sentence saying that the clubs are called the old firm and why]

Ah, gotccha, I rthought you were proposing something more substantial, I'll stick that in
I'm just trying to work out where to put the "chants" link, as I've referred to it as a song rather than a chant throughout. Hmmm.

Hmm. As for wehy they're aclled ther Old firm. Short story- i don't know. I'm googling right now, and so far I've come across, on a Rangers v Celtic fansite, "Why are they called the OLD FIRM???
If we had a pound for everytime we get asked that question we wouldn't be having to work in crap jobs to earn a crust. It's a question that gives us varied answers, so the best thing to do is follow this link to see what our members have to say about it."
So apparently the rangers and celtic fans don't know either.

One theory is this:
"2. "The Old Firm"... i dont know if this is 100% accurate, but i read that it was a sarcastic name used by a newspaper back in the early 1900s because Rangers & Celtic were "hogging" all the honours and the clubs were making lots of money. This particular newspaper thought that this commercialism was interfering with sporting values, and the term was used at that time."

Oh, I registerd with the Rangers website, and it told me that "The nickname the Old Firm originated during the early years of the 20th Century when the clubs began to dominate scottish football, and the term in part refers to the financial benefits of their frequent meetings."
So, I'll just say it wasd due to their dominance of scottish football then.

OK, if no one really knows why they're called the Old Firm. How about dropping the idea of a sentence or two about it in the entry itself, and putting it in as a footnote instead.

Yes we did simpost. It's not a problem, your solution looks great.
In my opinion this one is now good to go
Much like me, as I've now got 15 minutes to get some food before Switzerland and Croatia kick off... <missingpastabasil&parmesansmiley>

A fine piece of work.
This isn't particularly necessary for the entry, but I remember reading that Sam English was hounded out of Scottish football by Celtic fans who blamed him for Thomson's death. The last straw came when one charming Celt stopped one of English's children in the street and informed said kid: 'Your Daddy is a killer'.
I'd be inclined to retitle the entry "'Johnny Thomson's Ghost' - the Song", since otherwise it looks like you're seriously delving into the realms of the supernatural. Otherwise, I reckon it's Guide-ready!

Interesting though it is, I've decided not to include Ormy's bit about Sam English- I don't reallyw ant to stray to far into "old Firm rivalry" terrirtory in this entry, and I think I'll leave that out.
Any more comments, anyone?

I still think calling it 'Association Football' when the context is the game as played in Glasgow makes you come across as hilarious posh
After all, we are talking about the nation of Fruit Boilers here
