I see trees of green, red roses too..
(sorry wrong song lyrics that I wanted to use)
"Pure as a new born.
The rest of us have that beast inside
It doesn't make us bad, just human
And how cool it would be if we were born
Old and Wasted
And just spent life getting younger?
Dying as beautiful little babies
No enemies, no knowledge or experience of fear."
Taken from Andrew Gill: Astronaut, Clint Boon Experience!
'Tis a very good piece you wrote especially the bit about children. I have several young relations and to see the look in their eyes, the joy in their voice when the discover something new. It kind of makes even cynical me think that there is something out there to smile about

i must say that reading this particular one brought a tear to my eye. it is such a shame to see imagination and wonder die...to see people loose their sense of fun and adventure...to become nothing more than robots going from point A to point B without ever once taking the time to look at the beauty and wonder around them .
i always try to remind myself that life is short, you never know when this life will be over. i try to make sure that i am able to enjoy and learn as much as i can while i am here for i will never be here again . this does not mean i am not responsible only that i insist on enjoying myself and what this beautiful world has given me

That sounds like a good philosophy to me. "Gods own summer" by Loonytunes will brighten your spirits... and Yin Yang's "Ginkgo the rushes-ho" is very heart-warming.
