Laziness in reading

0 Conversations

Most people are lazy when they read. For example the most popular pages in the newspapers are the ones with comics and TV-programs. They only take a minute to read - and for many people this is enough. Also, half of those who flip through the rest of the paper only read the smallest (and funniest) news, maximum length 14 lines.

The reasons behind this phenomenon are complicated and mostly related to the city bus schedule, the amount of coffee in the cup and the boredom of the ongoing meeting / lesson / seminar / discussion. Also they are strongly linked to Einstein's theory of relativity. (That is simply because the time used to reading feels longer than it really is if and the text is boring.)

However, more specific description of this phenomenon and all the various reasons behind it would require too many lines of text. Therefore, to keep it short and readable, this is the end. (13 lines.)
