Chief masambula

Anyone remember Chief Masambula, if that was spelt correctly. Used to finish most matches off by a head butt. Entered the ring wearing a leopard? skin. Probably very un PC nowadays, Mum and Dad used to stop every thing for Wrestling on Sat night. It also used to be late on mid week. My best memory of this time was actually seeing Mick McManus wrestle at the Guildhall Southampton. I'm sure the old lady with umbrella/handbag was part of the set up. She certainly gave McManus a clout anyway. Saw 'Cyanide' Sid cooper wrestle near Luton several years ago. He still wears that 'fur' coat, and still cheats. The M/C was Brian Crabtree. For those of you on Sky digital, watch The Wrestling Channel. It's showing some of the old British wrestlers by repeating 'World of Sport'. At various times and days.
