Of his early life Akiro speaks little. What little is known has been extract and recorded, and these give slight glimpses into the man behind the yellow robes.
Akiro appears at the moment as a fairly short man. His youthful looks and long hair are beguiling to his real age. Indeed, illustionists have pointed to the fact the yellow orb that he carries bares resembelance to many illusional items. He wears only his robes and a loose pair of sandels. He has never been seen in the west wearing armour at any point, but many have commented that he doesnt bare any disdain towards knights and such. He carries a staff although he doesnt tend to use this at all, and he treats it more as a tool for his elementals rather then anything else.
It is known that he is from the east, that much is clear from his appearance. It is also known that he is an orphan, brought up by a group of monks near to where he was born (although the exact name of the order of monks, or indeed, the place he was born, have yet to be disclosed).
His skills with the Katana undoubtably stem from his time as a monk, and his abilities as an expert horse rider and horse archer are also beleived to be drivitive of his time amongst the monks.
His elemental abilities are of unknown origin. It has been suggested that they too are also dirived from the monks who gave him his home. It has been theorised that it has come from a repository of law, perhaps a mighty magical tome that he found. Or perhaps his ability are natural, an instinctive gift from powers yet to reveal themselves. Only Akiro truely knows, and he does not speak of it.
When he eventually left the order of monks, he travelled randomly, crossing many lands and stopping along the way to meet new people. He faught evil where he encountered it, and in the east many became the tales of the monk in yellow robes (although these are greatly exaggerated, and many steam from only a handful of acts by Akiro). He spent time with the great Khan, learning of the steppes and the lands. It was then known that he travelled further east, and it is here that the story of Akiro becomes hasy.
It is known that he spent several years there, perhaps upto a decade. What exactly happened cannot be said. But what is known is that Akiro returned a changed man. He had a greater respect for the elements which he had so readily used before. His abilities with these elements had also vastly increased. Mighty elemental beasts now faught at his side, and his skill with his new Katana had also been increased. He also carried with his a strange bulging rucksack. What this contained remains mystory, but it is known that at some point he left this rucksack with a friend, and continued his wanderings.
A strange complusion drew him west wards, and he eventually reached the city of Imradin. Here he was welcomed with less then open arms, after all, it was not a common occurance to see a monk flanked by hulking beasts of fire, ice, and earth. It is known that he met privately with Craxus prior to the great battle, and that a mutal respect between the two was acheived. What exactly occured at this meeting, neither will say. But it was lucky that events transpired as they did.
In the great battle, Akiro was seen with several elementals at one of the key wall sections. This section had a small gate, that could easily have been breached, had it not been for the sheer power of two mighty earth Golems pushing against the doors, whilst a fire and ice elemental rained death upon the attackers.
He has taken up his seat in the magicians guild gladly but he yearns once more for east. He feels the strain of war upon the elements and can feel them rebelling against even his mighty will.
So he has made plans to return eastward. It is known that he plans to re-aquired his rucksack, and that he plans to meet once again with the great Khan. Some have hinted that he plans to bring an army from the east to aid in the war, using his legacy and his connections to bring more swords to a war that threatens to destroy imradin. Perhaps the monks will rally to his banner, and maybe even the emperor himself.
But these are, like much of Akiros life, merely guess work. It is just as plauseable, that he has returned to his home to defend it.. and leave the west to its fate.
After the battle for Kalsho
After the battle for Kalsho, Akiro quickly appointed his successor and left the hallowed walls of the magicians guild. He headed directly East to his home land of -------. He took the road straight back to the temple and retrived his rucksack. Not stopping to look in it, he continued changed direction, heading south. Here he met with one of his friends of old, from his days as a traveller. His friend was a Ronin, and after such a long time apart the two were joyous to see each other again. With neither truely knowing where to go, the two journeried deeper southwards into th tropical south lands. Here they faught against decendents of the Iksar, battling and killing great swaths of them, before taking the great ruby and re-tracing there steps North.
