"black stone" universe story I wrote

He was after me. I don’t know why. It could have been the little thing I was holding, but he was still after me.
The first time I saw him, he just rang the doorbell and I answered it. I was holding the little thing I had found just an hour before while on a walk. It was like a little black squashed sphere with designs carved on it.
As soon as I had opened the door a crack, he pushed it open and jumped for me. No sooner than he had pinned me, my dad came in, pulled us apart and shoved the guy out the door.
“Ohmigosh! Who was that!” my mom yelled hysterically, apparently she’d just seen him.
“I...have no...idea,” I gasped, just getting my breath back.
After that, he never came to the door. He would just eye me. When I sat in my window seat to do homework or whatnot, he’d be there by the big oak tree staring at me. When I went to the mall, he was visible several yards behind me. When we went to the roller rink, he was there on rollerblades (it would have been almost funny). Everywhere I went, he was there.
After several months of this, he caught me alone. I had been careful to stay with someone since the incident at home, but I was at the movies with my brother. I left in the middle to go to the restroom, but no one was in the hallway except him. I was about to scream and run, but he was on me before I could yelp. I was down and then I was out.
When I came to, I first panicked because it looked like I was in a black hole. Eventually my eyes adjusted, and I could tell that it was just a room with no furniture and all the walls, ceiling and floor painted black. I looked down and saw a head. Head. Just, there. After the initial shock, I realized that it was the man.
The lips started moving, and it was talking. “The spheriniverse... the spheriniverse... give it to me, or the universe...”
I didn’t get it, until I noticed the similarity between universe and spheriniverse. The niverse part was the same. So what did spheri mean? It was like a slap in the face. Spherical! The little squashed sphere I’d found months before. I still had it in my purse, which I brought with me everywhere. I twisted around and was grasping for my purse, when my purse jumped. It seemed to be being pulled downward, towards the face. I tugged on it, but it didn’t come. The spheriniverse or whatever that sphere was supposed to be, didn’t break through the flimsy crocheted fabric of my handbag but pulled it down with it and the strap of it pulled me down.
A brief moment of friction as I was jerked through the floor, and then his head septupled in size. It was huge, but a big ball of multicolored mist was what I noticed. I mean, this huge ball of mist, mainly white but with stripes of color swirling through it and every so often I could glimpse a watery image of a galaxy or quasar. It was the universe, and he looked like he was posing to swallow it.
“NOOOOO!” I screamed.
“Give me the spheriniverse...” his drawling voice poured out.
“What is it?!?!?!” I demanded.
“The only chance for your universe. Give it to me NOW,” was all he told me.
The only chance for my universe, huh? That could be a very good melding of weasel words. Maybe my universe’s only chance lied in a power of the spheriniverse. I reached ahead to my purse and grabbed it. I suddenly stopped moving forward, and the “spheriniverse” started glowing. Twirling. Expanding. The designs jumped off the blob and rearranged themselves, making themselves read “bless you”. It seemed odd, saying bless you to a head a million times my size and obviously power hungry.
However, I said it, “Bless you.”
The big man sneezed. It propelled him backwards and disappeared. A large wind started up behind me and blew me into the ball of mist.
With a bounce and a jerk, I was on the floor of the movie theater hallway. The movie I guess had just let out, because everyone was pouring out of the theater I’d been in. My brother was running down the hallway towards me, and looked very taken aback when he saw me.
“What happened? You missed like the half hour of the movie and you look very beaten up. What happened? Say something!”
I opened my eyes and smiled. In my head I was thinking I was home, in my universe. That was all that mattered.
