Former Exmouth Pier ( Devon )

0 Conversations

I keep getting memory flash backs, of a time when one could arrive in Exmouth via the steam train. Probably mid 1950,s.
Used to get on the train looking like something from a soap powder advert.
Can,t understand why, arrived the other end looking like I had spent the day down a coal mine.
Regards the pier, doe,s my memory serve me right, were there actualy real electric bumping cars and I think a 2.2 rifle range.
Fond memories when it never rained. Not so fond memories of the obligatory soggy cheese and cucumber sandwiches with sand seasoning.!
Something to do with a must be eaton on the beach.
