The Intel Inside Sticker

0 Conversations

When one purchases a new computer these days they are most likely going to find a little sticker on it that says "intel inside, pentium ?" There a several motives behind this approach as outlined below.

One purpose of this sticker seems to be to remind the owner of the computer that inside their computer is in fact an intel processor. This can be taken as somewhat contradictory as intel assumes that the owner has the mental capacity to operate a computer but does not hold the brain power to remember that they have an intel.

Another theory is one that has plagued modern society and is that of advertising. Intel thought to themselves hey, why not put an ad on every computer, so that when people buy their computer and people come over to see it they will know where it is from and immedietly go out and purchase a similar machine. This theory of course lands in a heap when the sticker says "intel inside, pentium 90". becuase either the purchaser of the computer has been ripped off or the friend comming to visit is an extremly slow traveller.
