Abilities
Abilities can be taken for several things. Your stats can give you abilities, one for a stat reaching ten, and then one for every five points above that. Races will also give you abilities, as will your class. Some organizations may also have an ability bonus for being a member.
Agile (Body)
You are light on your feet, but are more commonly found in the air. Flips, jumps, and falls are your bread and butter.
Requirements:

Alchemy (Mind)
Through the persistant study of metals, stones, and chemicals, you have learned a great deal about the workings of the human body and the world it inhabits. Due to this, you are very proficient in making advanced medications, poisons, and potions, even if they tend to explode every so often. This enables you to make potions of a specific nature, such as invisibility, or stealth. Each potion takes four posts to make, and decent equipment must be present.

Aquatic (Body)
You are much at ease under water, being able to swim incredibly fast and hold your breath upwards of five minutes.

Arcane Student (Soul)
Due to you proficient research into magic and the arcane, your standard element in magic is now a second primary (meaning that all spells under your standard element also get a -1 bonus to cost).
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: At least 6
- Soul: At least 12
- Magically Adept
- Scholar
Berserker (Body)
Rage boils within you, waiting the right moment. Once it's out, you don't know anything save the smell of blood.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 10
- Mind: At least 6
- Soul: Any
Brute (Body)
You're big. You're tough. You know it. More importantly, so does everyone else.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 10
- Mind: At most 10
- Soul: Any
Chi Mastery (Body)
You are a user of the living energy, Chi. This ability is required to use Chi techniques.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 13
- Mind: Any
- Soul: Any
Clever (Mind)
When it comes to lying, you've got a silver tounge. In addition, you have an uncanny nack at picking locks and using devices you've never seen before.
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: At least 12
- Soul: Any
Craft (Mind)
You are skilled in making a specific range of items. Given the proper resources and tools, you can craft a high-quality item in five posts. Examples of areas are: Weapons: Bladed, Light Armour, Poison.

- Body: At least 8
- Mind: At least 10
- Soul: Any
Dark Vision (Mind)
The darkness can hold no secrets from you. You can see perfectly in light or dark.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 8
- Mind: At least 11
- Soul: Any
Demolitions (Mind)
You have the fairly uncommon knack at making things go boom, and then go away. You can make explosives out of household ingredients, and use them effectivly. You also have a knack at detecting weak spots in buildings.

Devious (Mind)
You have a wide array of not-quite-legal skills. Forgery, pickpocketry, and bribery are simple to you.

- Mind: At least 6

Dirty Fighter (Body)
To you, everything's a weapon. You can find a way to make anything hurt. A broken bottle, a chair leg, a plate, a bannanna, a wall, anything..
Requirements:
- Body: At least 8
- Mind: At least 10
- Soul: Any
Eagle-Eye (Mind)
Your eyes are exceedingly sharp, able to spot things close up and far away that no-one else would have. Due to this, your accuracy with ranged weapons is incredible.

Endurance (Body)
You don't tire easily. Running for a few hours makes you sweat. Bloody combat for a day and a half is a light workout.

Engineer (Mind)
Simple technology is a mastered skill to you. You can build basic weapons, houses, bridges, and anything else that doesn't normally require electricity.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 6
- Mind: At least 11
- Soul: Any
Fleet-Footed (Body)
You are unnaturally fast. Yeah, you race horses. No, you don't own a horse.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 8
- Mind: At least 6
- Soul: Any
Hacking (Mind)
You are a computer master when it comes to the illegal. You are able to tap into any electronic system and make it bow to your every command.
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: At least 12
- Soul: Any
Healing (Mind)
You are a master at curing ails and healing wounds. You could perform heart-bypass surgery with household appliances, and still have time for lunch.
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: At least 14
- Soul: Any
Holy Ancestry (Soul)
The blood of the divine flows within your veins. Your very presence hurts the unholy.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 6
- Mind: At least 6
- Soul: At least 12
Legal Immunity (Class)
When caught in the act of your mostly-legal trade, you can usually get out without being killed by flashing your Guild Card.
Requirements:
- Class: Thief, Assassin
- A member of the Thiefs' or Assassins' Guild
- Soul: Any
Low-Light Vision (Body)
The cones in your eyes respond to dim light as well as bright, giving you normal vision in low-light situations.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 8
- Mind: At least 8
- Soul: Any
Magically Adept (Soul)
The spark of magic has ignited within you, allowing you to manipulate magic itself. This ability is required to use magic, unless the Magic Affinity ability has been taken.
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: At least 8
- Soul: At least 12
(Element) Magical Affinity (Soul)
For some reason or another, magic of a specific element is used naturally by you, even without you having learned about it. This element acts as a primary element.
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: Any
- Soul: At least 9.
Massive Strength (Body)
You have unnatural physical strength. Lifting things like cars is a small chore.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 12
- Mind: Any
- Soul: Any
Natural Empathy (Soul)
You are most at home around nature and animals. You can find your way through any terrain, know which plants are good for what, and even speak to the animals in a limited fashion.
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: At least 7
- Soul: At least 10
Photographic Memory (Mind)
Nothing escapes your mind. If you see or hear something, you can always remember it exactly.

- Mind: At least 9

Psionic Mastery (Mind)
Your mind is highly tuned to the physical world, enabling you to effect it with Psi powers. This ability is required to use Psi powers.

Scholar (Mind)
You are chock-full of knowlege, and you can easily take on the personality of the upper crust.
Requirements:

- Mind: At least 8
- Soul: Any
Split Concentration (Class)
You are a multitasking master. You can use two Psi abilities at once, rather than just one. However, you are slightly more sucseptable to distraction, things like loud noises and so on.
Requirements:
- Class: Psionic Adept
Stalwart (Soul)
Nothing can slow you down. No poison is effective, no spell binding. Your spirit just won't back down.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 8
- Mind: Any
- Soul: At least 10
Stealthy (Body)
The shadows are a second home to you, and your movements are controlled and silent.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 9
- Mind: At least 10
- Soul: Any
Strong-Willed (Soul)
Illusions and things that mislead the mind and challenge the soul have a hard time getting a hold on you.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 8
- Mind: At least 8
- Soul: At least 10
Subtle Aura (Soul)
You seem to have a glow about you, more felt than seen. It has an effect on those around you. There are many different auras, each with its own effects. Holy, evil, fear, and more.
Requirements:

- Soul: At least 11
Tech-Maniac (Mind)
You seem to have a knack with anything technologically advanced. No device is beyond your skill to operate.
Requirements:

- Mind: At least 11
- Soul: Any
Terrible Strength (Soul)
Your own strength has nothing to do with your physical built. It stems from the raw power of your soul.
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: At least 8
- Soul: At least 12
Thick-Skinned (Body)
You are impervious to many physical blows. Boxing? Nah, too easy... They usually tire before you bruise.
Requirements:
- Body: At least 8
- Mind: At least 6
- Soul: Any
Transform (Soul)
Your morphic field is unstable, allowing you to take the shape of a living organism and turn back easily. You may choose one creature or plant for this ability. This ability takes one post to use. This ability may be taken more than once.

- Soul: At least 14
Turn Undead (Soul)
With holy power you can force undead to flee in fear, and in some cases destroy them outright.
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: Any
- Soul: At least 10
Undead Master (Soul)
Through dark power you are a master of the undead. All but vampires will heed your commands, and spells that summon the undead cost -1.
Requirements:
- Class: Necromancer
Unholy Ancestry (Soul)
Demon blood burns in your veins. The minions of the darkness like and listen to you, and the light shuns and hates you.
Requirements:
- Body: Any
- Mind: Any
- Soul: At least 12
Disabilities
Disabilities are negative abilities that can be taken for a bonus to your stats or other abilities. You can take as many as you like, but remember that you've got to accept them if you do. Disabilities as a result of a chosen race do not add any stat points. They have already been taken into consideration in that species' special characteristics.
Absent-Minded
You have a hard time remembering what you were doing a little while back, and seem to be always slightly out of the loop.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Arrogant
You know you're the best, and you make sure others know it as well. You hate being shown up.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Bigot
You despise anyone not of your species. You'll deal with the "Lesser races," but only with great reluctance and sneering.
Gain:
- +2 Stat Points
Blind
Your eyes no longer provide sight. Note: Getting your eyes replaced will not remove this problem.
Gain:
- +2 Stat Points
Borderline Psychotic
It takes very little to provoke you to kill. You find it hard to come to term with the idea of friends, and how they differ from enemies.
Gain:
- +2 Stat Points
Clumsey
You aren't very coordinated. You often bump into things and knock over tables, with humourus results.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Crippled
Due to an old war wound, you cannot run.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Cursed
You were placed under a powerful curse many years ago. You may define what the curse is, and what it does.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Deaf
You cannot hear.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Delusional
You see things that aren't there under times of great stress or physical exersion. This is maddening to you, and your sanity suffers for it.
Gain:
- +2 Stat Points
Disbelieving
Magic, God, all of it is a load of hooey to you. You don't believe it, have no use for it, and are scared as hell whenever you see it.
Foreign Language
You speak an unknown dialect of a forgotten tounge, making it hard for people to communitcate with you.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Infamous
Everyone knows your face, and most want to remove it from your head. You are publicly well-known as a doer of evil, true or not, and those who have the courage will attack you on sight. Cannot be taken with Socially Wary or Social Outcast.
Gain:
- +3 Stat Points
Light-Sensitive
The bright lights hurts our eyes, preciousss... The sun is your number one enemy. You avoid it whenever possible.
Gain:
- +2 Stat Points
- Low-Light Vision
Magically Inept
For some odd reason, magic and you just can't play nice. Spells you cast never seem to have exactly the right response, and sometimes go very wrong. You must have Magically Adept to take this disability.
Gain:
- +3 Stat Points
Mute
You cannot speak or cast spells with a vocal component.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Paranoid
You you don't trust anyone, whatsoever. You are fearful of spys and assassins everywhere.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Phobia
You have a deadly fear of something, and will do anything in your power to avoid it. The amount of bonus that this will give depends on how restricting the fear is. If it is a fear of bugs, +1. A fear of water, +2. This can give no more than +3 points.
Gain:
- +1 - +3 Stat Points
Fears
- Fire: +2 Stat Points
- Taking a Life: +3 Stat Points
Obsessive-Compulsive
You have a particular quirk which you always do. Chewing on a toothpick at all times, looking behind doors, or flicking a lightswitch on and off twice before entering a room, if you can't keep that part of your routine, you lose your nerve.
Gain:
- +2 Stat Points
Slow
You are't all that smart. Not too worldly, and barely educated, you gave up on reading a long while ago. You'd rather not handle anything more complex than a light switch.
Social Outcast
You are hated by nearly all that see you, for good reason or none at all. You are shunned by the public at large with fear and loathing. Cannot be taken with Socially Wary or Infamous.
Gain:
- +2 Stat Points
Socially Wary
You aren't trusted. People glance at you when they think you aren't looking, and you can hear their whispers behind your back. Cannot be taken with Social Outcast or Infamous.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Ugly
You really don't get this beauty thing. It's like everyone's speaking another language when the topic turns to that... and judging by your appearance, it's pretty obvious.
Gain:
- +1 Stat Points
Weak
You are physically weak, unable to lift most weights and unable to deal any physical damage. This does not mean that you cannot walk, or anything that severe, but physical combat is beyond you.
