Interesting little thing, this Yahoo! Named after an expression, a word that until the web site came, didn't really exist in proper dictionary english, it has become this monolith among the peaks and valleys of the internet. How? Who knows?
For a few years now I've been on yahoo chat, and the amazing thing about it is yahoo's ability to devolve, to change in a way that makes it worse than it was before. When I first signed up, I never had a problem with connecting to the chat rooms, people never got booted in mid-conversation, things were happy and the peasants were content.
Dark days came when voice mail was introduced and it f****d the whole thing up. since then all the aformentioned problems have arisen and things just aren't the way they used to be.
Oh well.
