Stevenage:Places to Go
Created | Updated Sep 16, 2002
I have conducted research on Stevenage for 13 years. This is a list of all the places in Stevenage I consider to be froody enough to provoke interest:
1.THE JOHN HENRY NEWMAN SCHOOL Location:Hitchin Road
The last 2 years of my research have occured mainly here. It is a very well looked after place, and certainly the best Roman Catholic Secondary School for miles around. Unfortunately, due to security reasons only pupils and staff are allowed in, so without getting a job there you will not be able to see the extremely attractive Sixth-Formers
2.THE LEISURE PARK(IN PARTICULAR CINEWORLD)
Cineworld is a 12-Screen cinema. On Monday tickets are only £3.00. Come on a Monday, see a good movie and buy lots of Pic'n'Mix sweets.
3.WOOLWORTHS Location:Town Centre
Noteworthy mainly because of its good selection of Pic'n'Mix Sweets.
Before you ask, yes I do like Pic'n'Mix. A lot.
4.OTTAKARS BOOKSTORE Location:Town Centre
Many an hour I have spent picking books off shelves and reading them for ages. The employees never lift a finger to stop me.
5.THE LIBRARY Location:Town Centre
The same as the above, only the chances are less that an angry employee will try to make you buy the book you are reading.
6.THE SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL SCHOOL SUMMER FETE
Many and varied activities to take part in here, including Welly Tossing and throwing sponges at people in stocks.Dates vary, so check ahead.
Those were but 6 of the better places to go in Stevenage. It's a constantly growing town, so there will almost always be something new to see and do. This entry is by no means complete, so see a better entry here.
