Sarcasm

Now something of a globally used device, it was believed to originate in England where it still flourishes.
A bizarre but strangely satisfying way of saying precisely the opposite of what you mean. In most places where it has gained popularity as a currency of speech it is considered both the noblest form of wit, by those who practice it, and the lowest form by those who are regularly subjected to it.
If you still unclear as to what exactly sarcasm is all about, although I’m sure you grasped it immediately, allow me to demonstrate:
How are you today Bob?
mmm… Zebra?
You’re a bright chap, aren’t you Bob?
In case you missed it, the sarcasm was contained in that last line.
…but I’m sure you knew that already.
