GodBen (The Magical Astronomer) - 00000011 Posted Jun 24, 2004
Why? It's better than TOS. I never really liked that one. I prefer Picard to Kirk.

Estelendur (AKA Esty) Posted Jun 24, 2004
Gah! Don't talk to me about Picard! Why does no one like Kirk!?

GodBen (The Magical Astronomer) - 00000011 Posted Jun 24, 2004
Because he's militaristic, crude, offensive . . .

Estelendur (AKA Esty) Posted Jun 24, 2004
NO, he's NOT. Well, militaristic, maybe, but not crude, offensive, or anything like that.

GodBen (The Magical Astronomer) - 00000011 Posted Jun 24, 2004
I found him offensive.
He doesn't think things through properly, he rushes in, he lets his emotions get in the way of things.

Estelendur (AKA Esty) Posted Jun 24, 2004
Well, not always. He's sometimes impulsive, it's true, but his crazy plans always work. Where d'you get the 'crude' part from?

GodBen (The Magical Astronomer) - 00000011 Posted Jun 24, 2004
I don't know.
But Picard is just the better of the two, I feel.
Anyway, must be off. I've got an appointment with the forces of evil, and if I'm late they get mad (and you don't want to see them mad).

Estelendur (AKA Esty) Posted Jun 24, 2004
Byee. Well, I feel Kirk is the better of the two, and I clearly can't change your mind, so truce.

You're all wrong Will Decker is easily the best captain of the Enterprise. Also DS9 is very good, especially as it's much darker than TOS, TNG and VOY. I think DS9 and ENT are my faves

Or am I thinking of someone else?
Coren: I'm lost.

yup, Will Decker, son of Commador Mat Decker became captain of the USS Enterprise after Kirk became an admiral. He was the captain during the refit and up untill his 'disappearance' at the end of the V'ger incident

Now now, the head-ridges problem is clearly explained in the DS9 episode "Trials and Tribles" (or whatever it was called). Worf explains that it was because TOS didn't have a big enough budget to buy head-ridges.
