That sounds like 'True Love' was in the film The Country Girl. Is that what you meant? 'True Love' is from High Society (1956).

There was a Hitchcock quote about Grace Kelly I think, along the lines of dam shame to leave cinema for royalty.
Of course, there is also Eels' Grace Kelly Blues:

I'll read more carefully and comment on the Entry later

GB and Toy Box.
I've addressed all but one issue you raise GB and that is the accents. for the link
I enjoyed listening to the Grace Kelly Blues Toy Box. Not sure how I could fit it in. If this entry were played to music this would be it. As for the Hitchcock quote a little search hasn't got me anything yet.

Ah yes, the Grace Kelly Blues is a fine piece of music. I was just reminded of it by the Entry, not really sure how you could (or if you should) fit it in.
I also spent some time looking for that Hitchcock quote. How difficult can it be to find it, really Ah well, maybe I just dreamt it. (But still, what a shame for cinema.)

sorted out the accents. My that page looked scary at first that I panicked and started worrying whether I could do it or not. Luckily its worked out.
Toy Box I agree the quote would be wonderful and it does frustrate me that I can't find it. I've tried things like 'Hitchcock Quotes' and 'Hitchcock and Kelly relationship' but still can't see it.

Maybe it is somewhere in the Hitchcock-Truffaut book?

Opti would you like to replace your link to "High Noon" with A31517886?

Hi Opti ....
You have a bit of repetition with >> led her to << it comes up a lot in the movie section.
I think I remember hearing that the Prince was relentless in his pursuit of her - they met and he followed her back to Hollywood begging for her hand in marriage wouldn't take no for an answer sort of thing .... could just be rumour I suppose but I can remember my Mum telling me about it when I was a kid.
There's also the Mr and Mrs Ranier bit ..... I don't think they'd ever have been called that - Prince and Princess maybe.
You also say that the garden played host to the party ..... I think a garden is more the venue than the host.
.....and the last thing I spotted was no mention of Grace Kelly by Mika a recent number 1 and his debut single - which also featured some dialogue from her in .... I can't quite remember which film, but I suspect it's where younger readers will have heard her name.

Fizzymouse...I've corrected all but two of the things you've mentioned.
First if I mention Mika, I should really mention the Grace Kelly Blues. Perhaps I should put these in the introduction or not include them. Can't decide which.
My second point is that a quick search didn't lead to anything when looking into the Prince's courting of the Princess...I'll keep looking though.

I'm struggling to find some of the things people have mentioned. I have also spotted a few things such as Hitchcock wanted her to play a role in the film Marnie and the term Hitchcock Blonde. Also that there was a rumour put round that it was her daughter that was at the wheel and she denies this. Finally, still not sure what to do with the song stuff and the Prince's persuit.

(I checked the Hitchcock-Truffaut and it seemed that it was against Ingrid Bergman that Hitchcock had a grudge, because she left for another director. Curiously he didn't mind Grace Kelly leaving for royalty. Sorry about the confusion!)
