P30197

A Furlyng planet, designated P31097, has been overrun by Shal'Pek* and the Asgard have asked Stargate Command to help rescue them. Some Asgard assistance may be provided, but they are caught up in the battle against the Replicators, and so will not be able to be of any decisive aid.

Gou'uld interest in this planet seems to be the rich cargon deposits underneath most mountain ranges, as well as isolated veins of trinnium and naquedah. Gou'uld strength on P31097 is unknown, but it is assumed to be high. The stargate will likely be very well guarded. Asgard intelligence indicates that the Gou'uld are not able to enter and control Furlyngs, but they are very good at subjugating them. Furlyngs will be found working in the mines, but are sure to be interested in resisting their conquerors. For this reason, all SGC personnel are requested to ingratiate themselves with captors. The mission breakdown is as follows:

SG-1 Will determine immediate risk assessment

SG-2,7, and 8 Will work with the Furlings to develop new technology that can help them.

SG-3,5, and 6 Will launch a (covert) attack on Shal'Pek's foces as soon as all intel has been gathered, possibly assisted by SG-1

SG-4 Will gather intel on what precisely Shal'Pek is up to.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
