-The School-
At more than 5,000 acres, Duke Univesity has the largest college campus in the world. The bulk of this space is occupied by the Duke Forest, which surrounds on three sides the actual university. In the forest is the Primate Research Center, which houses and rehabilitates rare lemurs. The Duke Hospital, one of the finest in the world, also occupies a significant amount of space. Finally, the actual college is divided into three sections; East Campus houses the history, literature, and writing departments, as well as all freshman housing; West Campus is the original campus and houses all other departments and housing for sophomore's and junior's, as well as most selective houses, fraternities, and sororities; Central Campus consists of apartment complexes for upperclessmen.
