Mickeys Newbie welcome Guide

3 Conversations

If you want to welcome <./>Newbies</.> then why not just send a friendly "hello" and "welcome" rather than make up a help group,

Or send a message just to help them to get started.

Below is an example to the type of message you could send:

Hello and welcome to h2g2.

h2g2 is an interactive community of researchers, who are always willing to help you if you get stuck.

You probably want to write an introduction for yourself, that can be done by clicking on the 'About me' link at the top right hand side of your page. Then just click on the 'Edit Page' link and you can get started with your introdution.

There is a number of ways you can <./>Contribute</.> to h2g2 and <./>read</.> coversations that other researchers are having. You could even join in.

Conversation threads (like this one) allows you to leave messages anywhere on the site. Most pages have got a 'Start new conversation' button at the bottom, which allow you to start a new discussion about what ever you want.

If you get stuck at anytime, you can go to the <./>ACEs</.> home page and leave a message for them, or you could <./>Askh2g2</.>.

See, easy, just say a friendly hello, no need to make a new group up just to say hello...
