Men in Black

The Men in Black are the premier policing force of the planet Earth. Their efforts produce the "mostly harmless" status of that planet, but they preferred not to be publicized at the time of that entry's writing. MiB have several offices around the world, where they coordinate the covert operation of extraterrestrials on Earth and apprehend violators of local, galactic, and clustorial laws. They exist in shadow and operate in secrecy, preferring not to expose the culturally juvenile populace of Earth from the knowledge of extraterrestrial life. An intelligent marketing strategy on their part was the creation of a blockbuster motion picture about their own exploits, cleverly using the non-resemblance disclaimer at the end of the credits to make everyone believe "it's just a movie". All of their technology is gained from alien sources; they selectively release some of it and use the patent proceeds to fund their operation. It is in the best interests of all travelers to check in to the nearest MiB center and register oneself appropriately, otherwise prosecution under Section 5.1, Clause II-B-7, Paragraph 65 of the Intergalactic Travel Alliance Protectorate may result.
