vauxhall corsa...help please

hello everyone
just wondering if anyone could offer help/advice regarding a 1998 vauxhall corsa 1.2
going to work this morning i was turning left on to a main road when i heard a hissing noise coming from behind as if air was escaping from somewhere.i checked the tyres including the spare..all ok.
does anyone know whats happening or any websites which could offer advice?iany help would be greatly appreciated as i know very little about cars.
