I think it's anything goes, Lug. I would tend to stick to meatier phrases like proverbs, idioms, quotations, book/song titles - anything which is recognisable with the vowels in!

It's a famous quotation from the year 1912 (I think). You have got the beginning and end more or less correct, but the middle bit needs to change.
