As a veteran wargamer I now present the Wargames Rock series of articles.

First up my personal Favourite Inquisitor. Here are some esential facts.
Full Name: Inquisitor Battle for the Emperor's soul.
Setting: Warhammer 40K Universe
First Released: June 2001
Produced By: Games Workshop
Type: Science Fiction Roleplaying collectable boardgame.
Difficulty to Learn: Moderate
Difficulty to Master: Easy nut you need a role playing attitude or else it turns into a superhero duck shoot!

Inquisitor is not about winning it is about having fun and creating a good story. The 54mm (average) models are a real joy to paint as they allow you to add all the detail you are simply not able to cover in Warhammer 40K's scale. A good knowledge of the background of the 40K universe is esential but everything you need to know is covered in the marvelous 218 page rule book complete with some of the games designers scenario ideas and story lines. I have been playing Inquisitor for two years now and I have run into many amusing incidents a few of which I have listed here for your enjoyment!
Home Run

One of my first characters Inquisitor Kalinda Coteaz had the deflection power on her rather large daemon halberd. This came in handy when a rater powerful grenade was lobbed in her direction. She passed the parrying test by an absaloutly terrific margin knocking the grenade out of the feild of play!
Stumpy's Revenge

After Terrigor Nemisis cultist of Slannesh had inflicted a horrendus amount of damage on the huge mutant abomination codenamed "Stumpy" proceded to pick him up and throw him bodily over the 50ft penitentiary fence!
Stupid Creature

My unpredictable bionicly enhanced mutant Ork accidently set himself on fire after blowing up the oil barrels around him!
Rain of Fire

After being picked up by a giagantic Tyranid monstrosity Big Johnny thought his day couldn't get any worse. It did. An Eldar Ranger blew the creature's head off! After falling 60ft absaloutly every grenade he had on him fell off his belt blowing up most of the feild of play.
Die Hard

Big Reggie had slightly more luck than his twin brother when facing the same ranger. After being shot about 5 times in various locations and losing an arm he managed to recover, pick his grenade launcher up with one hand and blow the Ranger's boss to bits!
When You've Got Them By The Balls...

I couldn't help laughing when one of my greatest foes Mintoe got hit in the groin by a Blood Angel's power fist's grapple attack!
