Good mood

1 Conversation

Good mood is an interesting phenomenon whose nature is in denying or rather forgetting all the bad stuff that is going on around: the fact that life sucks, air is polluted and that sooner or later we are all gonna die. Good mood is close to happiness (See “happiness”). Let’s just say that happiness is a good mood squared and is a great thing. Happiness however as great as it is isn’t meant to last. To feel nice and happy for five minutes one has to be miserable for the most of his life. Good mood is close to happiness but you can’t just move from one to the other. There aren’t any universal things one should do in order to be happy, but it is rather easy to get in a good mood.

Directions:
1. You must be OK. Just… healthy. Yeah, healthy. If you are healthy, you are OK. If you aren’t healthy at the moment wait till you will be.
2. Be positive. I know that you have something positive inside (if you don’t then don’t bother reading this stuff). Now take all this positiveness and put it like a lens in front of your eyes. The world is wonderful! Life is great! It is the best day in your life!
3. Smile(See “smile”). You can do that. It is in your genes so even if you don’t use it very frequently you can do it. If your face muscles get tired quickly then start practicing or just create something like a half-smile periodically every five minutes or so. And also laugh(See “laugh”) occasionally, but better only if there is something to laugh at because laugh without any particular cause may provoke unhealthy reactions from the others.
4. Don’t think about it. Feel great, enjoy it but for god sakes don’t think about it! As long as you start to think logic cuts in. And then BOOM! You start to think why the hell are you feeling so damn good and great? What’s wrong with you? And at the same moment a million causes not to feel great and in fact to feel very, very bad pop up in your mind. Don’t do this. Don’t think about anything in particular.
5. And another important thing. Don’t get distracted by the others. As I’ve already said most of the people most of their lives feel OK or rather miserable. And there is a good chance that just when you’ll be trying to get in a good mood there would be a bunch of guys around feeling bad and miserable, just as usual. Don’t get involved in any conversations! Don’t listen to anybody! Don’t answer the questions like “Hey, buddy, why are you all shiny and smiling?”. Apparently you won’t be able to say why. Just deny everything bad. Now back to direction #1, read till #3. Remember the last two but don’t read them again. I believe in you! Good luck and good mood!

WARNING: things I’ve mentioned in this entry are solid facts, but you better don’t think about it to much cause you’ll get terribly depressed.
