h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello chaps,
I'm trying to make a first entry in my journal but can't enter any text, or even get a cursor. The box where it looks as though the text should go contains a smaller bow with a red x in it. What can I do?

That may be something to do with you being registered with Radio 4 and rhather than h2g2

I'm sure someone will be along with a more detailed reply soon.

How much more detailed? Having originally signed up with Radio 4 *is* the basic reason for not getting a journal. Partially re-registering with h2g2 isn't enough to get back all the things which were deliberately disabled for the message board sub-sites.

At the moment you'd have to move the home-base of the account over to h2g2 to be allowed the use of your own journal forum (even though one *has* already been allocated). However, there was a staff comment a little while back (around the time other restrictions were being introduced) to the effect that MB users *might* be allowed the journal feature sometime ...

Thanks, I'll try and find out how to do that. I've been playing a bit of 'sound charades' on the Mornington Crescent board, where else might be a good place to stick my oar in?

There are lots of places, if you want to register with H2G2..
