This is the place for anyone to put cool links that they want to draw to the attention of the Aces. Or for the Aces to put cool links to draw to the attention of anyone else...

Funny you should mention the WWJ because I have just updated it all!
Including a pretty amazing, updated quiz page! http://www.h2g2.com/A204021

I am planning to do a WWJ Guide to all things musical here on h2g2!...... So c'mon all you researchers, if you know of a good musical guide entry, please let me know over here -

May I suggest a link goes with the paragraph concerning an image should be somewhere else on the net.
MadMunk is offering image hosting for anyone who wants it and has no web space of their own. The image will put onto The h2g2 POST web site and Field Researchers are able to use it on their pages.
The page can be found at:

How about this: The Wailing Wall, a place to unload your worries and console yourself with the thought that there's always someone worse off than you... http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=13870&thread=30130

Dr. E, I think you are exactly right - I'd much rather collect links for Peta than argue about who leads who and who does what!

right...and another few:
Online Games:
Merkins Limericks are into the 20th thread and at http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=15011&thread=29876 - although I am sure they'll switch over to the next thread soon, I'll post it then.
Jinx is hosting a online role playing game called "the Sinking Ship" at http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=26485&thread=27525 - and she's good at it, too!

Since Irving is too self-effacing or busy
to proclaim his virtual cafe here, I'll do it: The Aroma Café is hosted at http://www.h2g2.com/A202924, featuring loooooooots of counters, a Film Group at http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=26140&thread=30939 and a Book Club at http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?thread=30939&forum=26140
(the old thread lying around at http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=26140&thread=27063 for review).
that's it so far, have to browse around a bit first smiley - winkeye

ooops, I just saw now in the recommended page list-thread, that I wasn't supposed to give a link to a page hosted by one of us...
I have to admit, I just didn't think it that important smiley - winkeye - if it is a good page where a newbie can find an easy start. ah well -
can't do a thing about it now, anyway, just honestly swear that it wasn't meant as elitarian in any way.

It might be worthwhile mentioning DNA's collaborative articles, as an example of what h2g2 is (at least partially) about:

http://www.h2g2.com/A216433 - Predicting the Future
http://www.h2g2.com/A171839 - Unfinished Business of the Century

Anyway, what *is* h2g2 about? smiley - winkeye

I am totally happy for Aces to quote links to their own things. If you are doing something cool I am happy to be told about it. By anyone smiley - smiley

(grin) Just thought I'd throw that one in there to catch people off-guard smiley - winkeye

But seriously, though, the links we post (however they might be arranged) should offer a healthy cross-section of h2g2's different styles, including chat rooms / clubs, collaborative articles, humour, reviews, etcetera... The search engine's fine if you're looking for specific keywords, but searching for a concept or a type of article is trickier.

For instance, do we have an index of the various film / book / music reviews dotted around yet? Are there enough of them to merit one? Are there specific h2g2 plans for categorising / containing 'review' articles? Are people interested in reading reviews, anyway?

Hmm - so many questions smiley - winkeye
