To all ACEs: the first fully _error-free_ and _complete_ pulldown link list containing _all_ ACEs is now available on my intro-page.
I've made the code available for you all to use. Find it at http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=24810&thread=30074
Good luck with it

I forgot to say that the only difference is that mine uses a button and opens a new window, and you're free to take it, too...
Just don't forget to cut'n'paste Bruce's window.open-javascript for the old-version-of-netscape users...(he said one could take it ). btw Bruce helped with that one, so the credit's his, and I stole the idea from Monsy, I think
here goes:

Yeah, I know, Kats-eyes... yours is the one I saw. But it wasn't complete when I last saw it: some ACES were missing from the list! And one of the numbers wasn't correct, as you copied it from Peta's listing without checking. Mine REALLY is complete and error-free, why else would I have bothered making a new list, you think? I could easily have copied your list, would have been much less work for me, right?
Anyway: with Bruces help even a third version is coming up. You'll hear more soon.

Yes skeleton, you were right. it's complete and error-frree now (at least for the next 2 hours, I guess) - but even I have to sleep. Sometimes
And I'm thrilled to hear of the next version!
happy aceing,

Sure, everybody needs sleep. I was never going to *blame* you for what you did anyway, because you really were the first one to have the aces-list up and running. imperfections can't always be helped, and with a little extra time you would have found it yourself too.
The new version will make use of a tuned-up routine that Bruce and I did "together" (sort of) It will also contain links to: Bruce (original creator of the script), the page where the script for such menus can be found, and the page where I'll have an updated ACE-selector available at all times for anyone to cut&paste into their homepage without the need for ANY adjustments

very cool suggestion here guys, as it gives the new user a single focus point on which they can easily access virtually all of the guide, I've been following the links today and reckon it shouldn't exactly be difficult to cover all the bases.

Yeah virtually all, probably...
The intention however, is to make the selector a point for the newbie to select any of the ACEs from without the need for a lengthy list on the page. In addition there will be only a FEW other links, which mainly are to help OTHERS (such as links to code for your own list, your own copy of the aces-list, or GuideML help)

Hi Skeleton, nice to meet you
This is a great idea, and I intend to use it soon - one question, however. Any chance at making a version that will open up the page selected in a new window, like the "who is online" thing?

Got it...
Where the listing reads window.location.href = link
You should replace it with window.open(link)
That'll do just fine
