Gone But Not Forgotten 2

Season Two Overview

Now commisioned for 22 episodes, Buffy was now able to flex some muscles and show what it was made of. In a time when other cult tv shows were leaving characterization behind, Buffy showed exactly how well it could be done. The second year showed that one of the biggest contributions to the success of the show is the spot-on casting, and despite pushing the actors in this first full year, no-one is left wanting.
This season gives Sarah Michelle Gellar the most opportunity to run through her emotional range, and it's this season that defines her Slayer. As Buffy's world gets thrown upside down by Angel's transition, she never really reclaims the happy girl she previously was. Her self hatred begins to emerge here, not only at the sort of things she as to do but at how she views herself.
That's not to say it's all doom and gloom. Season 2 saw the show able to carry comedy as easily as high drama. This season introduces new characters and developes the existing ones beautifully!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
