Jam

Jam is made from soft fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and many other types of berries. I wouldn't be surprised that if you tried hard enough, you could make jam from just about anything. Sugar is involved somewhere along the line, but this is unimportant as you can buy jam from most shops, thus saving the hassle of making it yourself.
Jam is put into jam jars which protect jam from the elements. Jam is best when it is used in conjunction with bread, or bread that has been heated to make toast. These two ingredients are combined using butter or margarine. The bread is treated with either of these and then the jam is spread on top. Another piece of bread can be used to make a jam sandwich.
