Traveling on a Budget : School or Sports trips

I have come across a universal budget guide for traveling with School/Sports. The basic idea is that the Coach/Teacher is ALWAYS afraid to tell you the REAL cost of the trip, and therefore tells you the bare minimum. Therefore, I have come up with this unifying rule.
First take the amount the coach tells you and multiply it by 2\3 . Add the answer to the amount your Coach\Teacher told you to begin with. This gives you the proper budget to live comfortably on your trip.

Amount Coach tells you= $15
2\3 of that is $10
10+15= $25
