Hey, me too!

Cheers cobber! Life in Broome's pretty good really, apart from the wet season(ya know cyclones, thunder storms,ISP drop outs). It only rains for 2-3 months of the year so we just put up with it and drink more beer. The rest of the year is fantastic!! Any time you feel like some winter warmth Broome is the place. And it's only 4000km or so from Sydney/Melbourne/Canberra. So come on over.

No worries, I'll drop in when I've got a spare few...er...weeks
Actually I do want to do North WA some time - the Kimberleys etc. I was meant to get up that way in '98 but it didn't work out. Also wanna do the Top End, I've only managed to get as far as Alice Springs except for a flying vist to Darwin.
I spent winter of '98 in FNQ which was *really* nice, particularly compared to Canberra winters which are pretty harsh (*beautiful* but harsh). Maybe I should get a house north of the Tropic and spend winter there every year
Mmm, beer. Another one?

I'll drink to that!
I lived in N.Q for several years, and you're right it is beautiful,Bowen to be precise. I've got to leave paradise for a couple of days, I fly to Perth tonight for a health and safety workshop, so we'll only be erm 4000km from having a beer together.Oh well might as well have another beer.

Hope you don't mind but I extended an invitation to Aussie researchers in the New Members forum. There's plenty of beer - I just went and got another slab.
Have fun in Perth - another place I've only ever paid a flying visit to.
Gulp gulp gulp
Aaaah, that's better.
