A Conversation for Boredom

Positive side-effects of boredom

Now I have nothing against anyone who feels that boredom is not good, but I feel that it is one of the most under-rated commodities that we have available to us, and anyone short sighted enough not to see that should be 're-educated' very harshly indeed. I would just like to point out a few positive things that have arisen due to the existence of boredom.
1. Computers: now if everyone had had really interesting lives, no one would have sat around wiring together random bits of electrical household appliances hence creating computers.
2. University: if I hadn't been bored with daytime TV would I have come here to get my free Internet access?
3. Wombles: they're great, and someone must have been bored to make 'em.
4. Those rulers that bend in two: 'nuff said.
5. Shiny objects: I'm easily distracted.
6. War: No, wait, that's bad.
7. Lollypops: I mean, who thought of freezing stuff and sticking it on a stick.
Thank you for your time.

Another positive characteristic of boredom is that it easily leads into the other great event in any good students life- sleep, preferably till about half one, then you can get up, peel your tongue from off your teeth, and have a brew, then be bored. A utopian vision of life, I'm sure you'll agree
