"Lead" is a fairly commonly used word which is often used in many different forms, many of which badly contradict each other.

"Pumping someone with lead" is the act of shooting some one with a shotgun, or a similiar weapon that sprays lead or a similiar metal.
"Lead Brick" is a common description for things that are heavy, and often used to describe a person's brain.
Lead itself, is a very heavy metal which, if licked, can cause Lead Poisoning, why anyone would lick it is unknown.
Lead is also used in the creation of Shotputs, and other useless items which very few people have even heard of.
