Well, I really appreciate a good aged Island Malt, I quite like some of the Skye varieties, but I really don't like the Campbeltown, which is odd as it is the closest to home.

Hmmm, this new forum format will take a bit of getting used to. As my home page used to say, before it vanished during the server upgrade, my preferred whisky is Laphroaig. I'm off to Islay in October to try some others .

At the moment I'm not sure I'll ever get used to it! Trying to get to the last post in a long conversation is an absolute nightmare.

I think it's h2g2's way of telling us to have smaller forums...

NO apparently they got this the wrong way round. The test bed's never picked up on it. But it is top of the techs priority list to put the newest posts to the first page and you then trawl throug hthe older one's or so Peta says.

They did swap preview and post. And to make the server display more posts, add &show=300 (or another number of your choice) to the end of the forum's url.

Menza has entered the building it may take him some time to find us though.

That took a while, but I'm here now.

And we did pick up on the navigation problem, its just that they hadn't got the solution ready for the deadline. It will be in the next version when that goes up.

So that will be h2g2v2.1 then.
