You're pretty lucky getting time off work to play! That must have been an added incentive to get through to the final!

Unfortunately if I win the final and make it through to the British finals, I'll not get too much time off, they are being held in Northern Ireland this year, so no subsidised trip over to the mainland to compete, just a 45 minute drive from home.

That's a shame Are there any prizes to be won?

DD, I apologise for my previous posting. That was a silly question. I used to be a civil servant, and I remeber exactly how generous the pay wasn't, so I should have guessed what the prizes would be like in that bowls tournament.

It's not too bad, must of the ones you get to keep these days are not solid silver, so at least you don't have to polish them, just the ones you keep for a year.
