The same care MUST be taken when consuming the common earth grape fruit. These delicious round citrus fruit come in two equaly deadly varieties, pink and green. They are tropical fruit which grow on trees which grow moderately high. They can be peeled, sliced or quartered, but are most commonly halved and consumed with a serrated spoon. Here is where the danger lies as the action of the spoon entering the grapefruit will, more than likely cause acidic juice to squirt into the consumers eye. Thankfully there are ways around this problem. The most obvious being the donning of protective goggles prior to breakfast. Choosing a different approach to grapefruit consumtion (eg. have it sliced or quartered instead, though this may be seen as cheating). Or simply mastering as i have the art of inserting your spoon at such an angle and velocity that no squirt comes at all at least not in your direction.
