Beavers are small aquatic rodents that live in wooden structures called "lodges" that they build in rivers. These lodges are where the beaver raises its young and stores food for winter. They are herbivores that eat bark from trees. They are commonly found in North America and North Asia. Aslo found in Europe, but only where they are protected. They have thick waterproof fur and are generally about six decimeters in lenght and about two decimeters in height. They have webbed hind feet and large incisor teeth. Their numbers have decreased mostly because of being trapped for thier fur.
