Well, is it suitable for inclusion in a peice about dyeing hair and saving towels - if so we need to find out some more about it because I have no idea how it would be applied or any of that stuff.

No, don't mention it, the entry isn't about which sort of dye you take, but about how to do it, and what can go wrong.

Hi Bel!!
Still here and really enjoying it.
Interesting piece, but what gets me every time I dye my hair, is that all the splatters you make at the initial stage, when the mixture is still developing, don't appear until its too late to remove them from carpet and walls!
My hair is so much smoother when its dyed and in much better condition.
Using a semi-permanent one is better to start with as it gradually fades out for a much more natural effect.
I did make a horrendous mistake once, as I sent my ex-husband out to buy my usual one, and he came home with a similar colour, but darker.
I thought I'd just get on with it, as after all it could n't be THAT bad.
Oh yes it was, and I looked like Ronald McDonald!! I had to 'phone the companys helpline, who recommended using a very well known
anti-dandruff shampoo, which stripped loads of colour out!!
What must it do to your scalp in normal use!!
I can heartily recommend it for removing unwanted colour!!

What about the pitfalls, Fizzy? The blown up eyes and reddening of the scalp, ears, weeping etc
No don't laugh! Been there, done that...worn the consequences on me t-shirt for weeks after
I was only dyeing my hair black for sake! I can still bleach it though

On the subject of picking Entries - the Recommend Entry button still appears even if you give the Scout a credit, but I've never tested it to see if it works. Oh and I have this uncanny knack of being credited on Entries about subjects I know nothing about, and it's starting to scare me.

I once subbed a collaborative entry where I was listed as a researcher, and my name then vanished from the list , which is why I thought we couldn't recommend those entries, either.

Well, you'll be spoilt for a choice of links for hair:

I think the entry about hair and the one about eyebrows are currently being updated or somethjing, but the links should still be valid, I guess.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Well done everybody
You understand that I would have absolutely no experience of dyeing my hair and only pulled this together from the 'older' researchers experiences.
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!
